I International Workshop on Applied Biosensing

03/06/2024 até 06/06/2024
Congresso

The development of new materials, different and diminutive wearable measurement systems, and the advancement of artificial intelligence are the key factors that have propelled the widespread use of biosensors. The main objective of this workshop is to provide a unique environment for researchers to discuss and exchange experiences in all areas of the industrial and academic biosensor chain. WBIO 2024 is an international forum to discuss the future perspectives of biosensors and their applications in the medical, pharmaceutical, and food industries, based on their applications in Biomedical and Computational Engineering, Medical Physics, Medicine, Environment, Biology, and Chemistry. The event aims to attract participants with different academic backgrounds, promoting discussion across different research levels and presenting innovative theories, new methodologies, tools, and clinical applications. The event will take place at UDESC’s auditorium in Joinville (Brazil), from June 3 to 6, 2024. The event has international scope, with English as the official language. It is planned to have lectures, full papers, expanded abstracts and posters. Full papers are expected to be published, once accepted, in the Journal of Physics: Conference Series from IOP, in the form of a book with open access (the book has international access with ISSN and is indexed in ISI). Furthermore, the presented full papers (4 pages) at the event will be invited to submit an extended and updated version to the scientific journal Biosensors and Bioelectronics from Elsevier. These articles will undergo a rigorous review process before selection and will be published in a special issue in December 2024. One-page articles will be published in the event proceedings as a book, indexed with ISBN.
